Marian Village is a senior citizen living location specializing in independent living. The community is taken care of by an organization named Marian Charities which is formed with the aim of doing charity work. It has 8 Acres of land (32000 square meters of land) at Attapallam, in Palakkad District of Kerala, India. It provides accommodation to old age people on payment basis as well as on free of charge basis. The organisation uses the fund generated by various means to provide free accommodation, food, clothes, medicine and nursing care for the poor people. There are independent areas in the village to provide stay on basis of payment and on the basis of charity.
Marian charities bloomed out of a small prayer group in the year 2000. It is registered under Societies Act of the Government for carrying out charitable works. The philosophy that drives the organization is the words of Holy Bible. "What God the Father considers to be pure and genuine religion is this: to take care of orphans and widows in their suffering and to keep oneself from being corrupted by the world" James 1:27.
